MAISON GENEV
WooCommerce online store for a women’s fashion brand — natural-fabric collections, a catalog with sizes and colors, card payment or cash on delivery

Maison Genev is a women’s fashion brand from Bucuresti: elegant, timeless pieces in natural fabrics such as linen, cotton and silk, with refined cuts and a Mediterranean style.

Before this project, the brand had no online store of its own: its collections sold offline and through social media. It needed a store where customers choose the piece, the size and the color on their own, see what shipping costs and complete the order right on the site.

We built the store from scratch on WooCommerce: design, catalog structure, payment and shipping, the information pages and the product upload. The project took about two months.

Client: Maison Genev

Launch Date: September 2026

Project duration: 2 months

The challenge

A brand that sells through its imagery and the quality of its fabrics needs a store as carefully made as its clothes. A generic template with small photos and crowded pages would have contradicted exactly what Maison Genev promises: effortless refinement.

Beyond the look, a clothing store has to answer the questions that stall an order:

  • which size to choose and how to measure;
  • what shipping costs and how long the package takes;
  • how to return a piece that doesn’t fit;
  • how to pay: by card or on delivery.

At the same time, the catalog had to be browsable in several ways — by type of piece, by collection or by discount — and work just as well on a phone, because the brand’s audience discovers it mainly on social media.

The solution

An airy design built around the photography

We chose a light interface with plenty of white space, elegant typography and large photos. The homepage opens with the seasonal collection, full width, and leads straight to the products.

The themed collections — the Linen Collection, Summer in Amalfi, Jewelry — work as shop windows, while the bar at the top of the page announces what’s new and the current discount codes.

A catalog organized the way customers shop

The menu groups products by type of piece — tops, shirts, T-shirts, blouses, sweaters, dresses, skirts, trousers, jackets, sets — and by accessories: jewelry (rings, bracelets, earrings, necklaces), belts, bags and scarves.

The collections (New Collection, Best Sellers, Linen Collection, Summer in Amalfi) and the sale page open a second path through the store, for customers who aren’t looking for a specific piece. Search shows products as you type, and the wishlist keeps saved pieces for later.

Product pages with sizes, colors and per-variant prices

Pieces available in several sizes and colors are chosen directly on the product page, and the price updates for the selected variant. Discounts show the original price struck through and the percentage saved, both on the product and in product listings.

We uploaded the catalog with photos, size and color variants and product descriptions, so the store could sell from day one.

The answers that decide a clothing order

We wrote and structured the information pages so that questions are answered before the order:

  • The size guide: tables for tops, blouses and dresses and for trousers and skirts, size equivalents for the UK, US, Italy and France, and step-by-step measuring instructions;
  • Shipping and returns: delivery times and costs by zone — 24–48 hours in Bucuresti, 2–4 business days in the rest of the country — and free shipping on orders over 299 RON;
  • FAQ, grouped into orders, shipping, returns and refunds, products and sizes, account and payment;
  • About Us and Sustainability, which explain why the brand chooses natural fabrics and pieces made to be worn season after season.

Payment and shipping, set up from day one

Customers can pay online by card, through Netopia, or cash on delivery. Shipping rates are set by zone — 15 RON in Bucuresti, 20 RON in urban areas and 25 RON in rural areas — and shipping is free on orders over 299 RON.

Orders can be placed without an account; customers who create one keep their order history and check out faster next time.

Staying in touch after the first visit

The newsletter announces new collections and special editions, the WhatsApp button handles quick questions, and the Instagram feed brings the brand’s posts into the site.

Results

The store launched recently, so we don’t attribute sales figures to it that haven’t been measured yet. What changed for Maison Genev:

  • the brand’s own online store, where collections are bought directly, with online payment or cash on delivery;
  • a catalog organized by type of piece, collection and accessories;
  • answers on the site to questions about sizes, shipping and returns, before the order;
  • a shopping experience designed for the phone too, from the homepage to checkout.

How we'll measure progress

After the first months of sales, we will update this case study with real data from Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console.

The main metrics we'll track are:

  • the number of online orders and the conversion rate;
  • the average order value;
  • the checkout completion rate, from cart to payment;
  • the share of traffic from phones;
  • visibility in Google for the main categories, such as linen dresses and linen shirts.
