How we use AI in web design (and where we do not)

The workflow of a web design project, step by step

Short answer:

AI takes over the repetitive part of a project: text drafts, working images, translations, checking scripts. The structure, the real data about the business and the final check stay with people. The price and the delivery time do not change because we use AI.

1. Text drafts, not final texts

We start from the brief, from the conversation with the client and from what their pages already say. AI proposes a first version, we rewrite it: we cut the generic phrasing, add real prices and deadlines, and remove any figure the client cannot prove. A concrete example: when we cleaned up 11 service pages on our own site, we removed the unsourced statistics and the invented quotes that circulate in this industry.

2. Working images, replaced before launch

In mockups we use generated images to see how a section looks with real content. Before launch we replace them with the client's photos. We never present a generated image as a photo of the team, the office or the work.

3. Assisted translations, reviewed page by page

The English version of this site has 114 pages. Every unit of text was translated with AI and then reviewed, and at the end an automatic check runs: HTML tags identical to the original, title and description lengths within SEO limits, links that lead to the matching English pages, and no Romanian text left behind.

4. Checking scripts, on every build

Before every launch we run checks written with the help of AI: internal links that would lead to a 404 or to a redirect, titles and descriptions outside the limits, invalid structured data, content that stays hidden on phones, horizontal scrolling at 390px. On our own site that means over 10,000 links checked on every build, across 229 pages.

Where we do not use AI

  • for the structure of the site and the SEO strategy — there we use Search Console data and the conversation with the client;
  • for figures, results and reviews: the case studies on the site carry numbers confirmed by clients;
  • for legal texts;
  • for generating “filler” pages for keywords.

Why this matters for you

The time saved on drafts goes into the part that brings customers: the page structure, the questions you answer before your competitors do, the speed and the checks. And the texts stay yours and hold up, because they contain no claims you cannot back.

Frequently asked questions

Do you write articles with AI for clients?

We write drafts with AI, but we publish only texts that have been checked and completed with information from the client. An article that says nothing new brings no traffic, whoever wrote it.

Will you tell me what was generated and what was written from scratch?

Yes, if you ask. Responsibility for what gets published stays with us, whatever tool was used.

Will AI replace web designers?

Not on the part that decides whether a site brings customers: understanding the business, the structure and the design decisions. It has already replaced some of the repetitive work, and that is a good thing.

Can I ask you not to use AI at all on my project?

Yes. The delivery time may grow, because drafts and translations are done by hand, but the final result looks the same.
